Field Trip Program FAQ's

How far in advance do reservations have to be made? Moody Gardens® requires reservations for all Education programs at least two weeks in advance. All reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Many programs and times fill quickly, so make reservations as soon as possible by calling 1-800-582-4673 ext. 4203 or 4362, for more information and reservations.

How many people need to be in a group to qualify for group rates? In order to qualify for group rates, a minimum of 20 participants is required.

How do I reserve my field trip program? After making a reservation, you will be mailed a program contract that verifies your reservation date, program, time and the deposit/payment due date. Upon receipt of your signed program contract and deposit/payment, Moody Gardens® will mail your confirmation materials. All programs require a deposit or full payment by the due date noted on your contract. Any remaining balance is due upon arrival. Moody Gardens® accepts cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diner's Club, and Discover. Please have one person make a single payment for the entire group. All program prices reflect a per person rate. This rate applies to chaperones as well.

Do I need adult chaperones with my group? Yes, adult chaperones are required to accompany your group at all times. Chaperones are required to pay for admission; however, one teacher or chaperone is permitted free for every 25 students.

What happens if our group is running late? If your group is running late, please make every effort to contact your sales representative. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but we reserve the right to cancel or adjust program length accordingly. Remember, late admission is not permitted in the 3D Theater.

Can my group bring their lunch and eat there? Groups are welcome to bring their lunches or make reservations for the lunch packages available at Moody Gardens®. If you choose to bring your lunches, please make arrangements to keep them in your vehicles until lunchtime. Moody Gardens® cannot provide storage space for lunches. Please note that uncovered picnic areas are available throughout the property. Food and beverages are not permitted inside exhibit areas.
