Bands on the Sand

Enjoy local and regional bands on Friday evenings during the summer at Palm Beach. Each Friday will feature a different band with the best R&B, Pop, Country and rock music around. Each event will conclude with a fireworks show at the end of the night sponsored by 104.1 KRBE and 103.7 FM.

This self-described “dance band” plays a wide selection of classic rock, oldies and blues and is known for their raucous gigs throughout the Bay Area.

Galveston Music Scene described The Line Up as “the premier band on the island for more than a decade, and a real treasure for the local music scene.” Their crowd-pleasing sets are heavy on variety, mixing covers of classic hits like “All Along the Watchtower,” modern rock like “I Want You to Want Me” and even R&B flair like Prince’s “Purple Rain.”

The Fantastics bring together the talent and musicianship of four incredible and energetic performers with a wide span of music styles from soft dinner music and 80’s dance to rock & soul, featuring covers of K.C. & The Sunshine Band, Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder and Lenny Kravitz.

The Zydeco Dots, also referred to simply as The Dots, mix Louisiana flavor with a variety of other genres, including R&B and country. They have played alongside notable accordion players over the years and were named best Zydeco band by The Houston Press.

Galveston’s native son splices blues and rock and blends it for the contemporary ear. Touring non-stop since 2001, Loomis has brought his funk-i-fied Texas music to audiences all over the U.S. and the world, recently earning two "Best Artist" awards in England and Wales.

D.R.U.M. uniquely combines continental African and African Diasporic rhythms with a healthy dose of jazz, funk, R&B and Latin influences to create a rich, earthy (and immediately accessible) sound. They top off this musical gumbo with a full melodious sound, abundant pop hooks, smooth vocals and a colorful stage appearance. D.R.U.M. has consistently won public music polls in various categories since 1991 and also boasts a variety of published works and Accomplishments. D.R.U.M. has appeared in concerts from Pori, Finland to Tartu, Estonia and toured the United States with the Bob Marley Festival annual tour since 1993.

This Texas singer-songwriter uses his music to reflect life on the Gulf. He was named independent artist of the year in 2002 by the Country Music Association of Texas and has had multiple songs and albums on the Texas music charts. Songs from his debut album “Redfish Island” are regularly played and requested on Radio Margaritaville – Jimmy Buffett’s world-famous radio show.

Based out of the Galveston Bay-Port Arthur area, this band knows firsthand about life on the Texas coast, even deriving their band name from the popular fishing spot in Galveston Bay. Hanna’s Reef blends a mixture of their own extensive catalog of original beach and sailing songs with classic Jimmy Buffett covers and other tropical tunes.
